I will give you rest

First Reading: Psalm: Gospel:

Isaiah 26:7-9, 12, 16-19 Psalm 102:13-21 Matthew 11:28-30

Matthew 11:28  Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

The times are changing.  When this happens we are fearful because of the uncertainty.  We feel trapped and begin to have a sense of hopelessness.  This is when we need to look to Jesus.  Pray for his grace and guidance in the tough times and take comfort that he has overcome and we are his.

Father, help me by your Holy Spirit to take rest in you.  Help me not to lose hope and act not in accordance with your will, but rather to continue to strive to be faithful.
