Mass Readings: April 1
| First: | Acts 4:32-37 |
| Resp: | Psalm 93:1-2,5 |
| Gospel: | John 3:7-15 |
John 3:8 The wind blows where it wills, and you can hear the sound it makes, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes; so it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit."
It is not ours to wonder why, but to do or die, goes the saying. God chooses what and how He is going to do what He does. Sometimes we might think we get it, and other times we just don't get it at all. But when Nicodemus is confused Jesus points him to the cross. As Moses lifted up the serpent, so must the son of man be lifted up.
When we are confused and we don't understand God's ways, we must always remember to look to the cross as the sign of God's love and His faithfulness and we must trust in that as a light that leads us through the darkness.
Father, help me by your Holy Spirit to always trust in you because of the cross. Help me to act as though I know you love me and died for me. Help me to treasure your love above everything.
Amen
