Matthew 15:12 Then the disciples came and said to him, "Do you know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this saying?"
In this age of Political Correctness we are being very sensitized to the idea that we offend each other with what we say. Here Jesus says that if God has not planted the people, they will be rooted up. In context he is saying that the Pharisees will no longer have their authority when the Church is formed and the Temple is destroyed. In our lives we need to believe that if God has called us we need not worry about those people who appear to have authority. God is the ultimate authority and those who stand in our way will be rooted up.
Father, help me by your Holy Spirit to trust that you will stand by me if I answer your call. Help me to see clearly your call and follow you in truth.
